How to add SimRoster to your home screen on iPhone and iPad
SimRoster runs like a native app on your iPhone or iPad. Add it to your home screen in seconds, no App Store needed, and it updates itself automatically.

SimRoster is a progressive web app. That means it installs straight from your browser with no App Store involved. Once it's on your home screen it opens full-screen, has no browser address bar, and behaves exactly like a native app, because as far as your phone is concerned, it is one.
Updates are automatic too. When we ship a new version you'll get a small notification the next time you open the app, and SimRoster refreshes itself in the background. You never need to visit the App Store, tap Update, or even think about it.
Add it to your home screen
The whole process takes about ten seconds. You only do it once. Open Safari, go to dispatch.simroster.com, and sign in so you're on your roster or home screen. This only works in Safari. Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers on iPhone and iPad don't support Add to Home Screen. If you're in a different browser, copy the address and open it in Safari.
Step 1: Open the page menu (three dots)
From Safari's toolbar, tap the three dots (•••) to open the page menu.

Step 2: Tap Share
In that menu, choose Share so the full share sheet appears.

Step 3: Tap "Add to Home Screen"
Scroll the share sheet if needed until you see Add to Home Screen, then tap it.

Step 4: Tap "Add to Home Screen"
Add to Home Screen opens a preview of the icon and name (already set to SimRoster).

Step 5: Tap "Add"
Tap Add in the corner to finish. SimRoster appears on your home screen. Open it from there for a full-screen app with no browser chrome.

It updates automatically
You never need to manage updates. When we ship a new version, the app detects it the next time you open it, updates in the background, and shows you a brief notification when it's ready. No App Store, no manual refresh, no reinstalling.
Works on iPad too
The same steps work on iPad. Safari is still required. The Share button lives at the top of the screen rather than the bottom, but once you find it the rest is identical. After installation SimRoster adapts to the larger screen and works in both portrait and landscape.
Something not working?
- Make sure you're using Safari, not Chrome or Firefox. Only Safari supports Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad.
- If you don't see "Add to Home Screen" in the share sheet, scroll down; it's usually a few rows below the top of the list.
- If the app still opens in the browser after installing, try force-closing Safari, then tap the SimRoster icon from your home screen.
That's everything. One time, ten seconds, and SimRoster lives on your home screen like any other app, with automatic updates included.
